Our production logo and company
For our media project, we originated a new production
company and named it HAN Productions.
The name of our production company is the first letters of our names H-Hajar A-Alex
N-Nimra. We came up with this idea because we think it’s very innovative
and sounds very professional an as all of equally contributed in our
production.

Questionaires to find out about potential target audience
What is your greatest fear within the horror genre?
This pie chart clearly shows us the film makers, that zombies are the most feared ones. The pie chart has been constructed from the data we got on the questionnaires. By comparing zombies to the rest, you can clearly see why zombies in horror are most liked and feared. Also helps us understand why zombie films are doing extremely well like Dawn of the dead/Shaun of the dead. Due to zombies being the most feared, it will be fairly easy to scare the audience.
Are you attracted to blood?
The pie chart gives us an insight of how much blood we need to use, and also tells us our boundaries and where we should not cross it.
Recent horror film you watched?
Over here you can clearly see that world war z was the most recent watched film out of all the other horror films that came out in 2013. Again supports the reason why we should use zombies as our horror film.
Gender?
The majority of those questioned were in fact male so we therefore have to take in consideration that our main target audience will be male dominated and must cater our film to appeal the male demographic.
Age?
Over here we can clearly see that the younger generation are the most likely ones to view to the film, and that the adults 40+ are the least likely to view it.

Research into BBFC Classification Guidelines
In order to protect children from unsuitable and even harmful content in films and videos and to give consumers information they might need about a particular film or video before deciding whether or not to view it, the BBFC examines and age rates films and videos before they are released. This independent scrutiny prior to release ensures the highest possible level of protection and empowerment.
It
is important that the BBFC’s classification standards are in line with
what the public expects and that its decisions take account of what the
public finds acceptable at each age category.
Therefore
every 4-5 years, the BBFC carries out a major public consultation
exercise to find out what the public thinks about the age rating of
films and videos before they are released and whether the BBFC’s
classification standards meet public concerns.
The BBFC adjusts its standards and criteria in response to any changes in public attitudes.
These
standards are laid out in the BBFC’s Classification Guidelines which
can be downloaded below. The Guidelines detail what is acceptable at
each age category, from U to R18. They also set out the laws and
principles which impact on the BBFC’s work.
There are two key principles, laid out in the Guidelines, under which we operate:
- to empower consumers, particularly parents and those with responsibility for children, to make informed viewing decisions.
- to protect children and vulnerable adults from potentially harmful or otherwise unsuitable content.
Existing film distribution company research

Just by reviewing and researching different company productions, it is quite straight forward Warner Brothers is one of the most successful ones. By looking at the data provided, you can clearly see that they have produced the most successful known films then the rest. This is why i am choosing Warner Brothers as my company production.
