FILMING DAY
We filmed our opening on 31st January. It generally went very well but we did have some difficulties while we were shooting.
i To start with as we ‘wisely’ decided to shoot
in an apartment that was one hour away from all our houses; we only had ONE day
to shoot ALL our scenes. This was a huge risk that we took as we couldn’t really
make any mistakes, miss any scenes because there was no way we could rent the
apartment again and shoot the scenes again. But it was worth a risk. We shot
all our scenes quite well and did not miss any of them.
ii Then while we were shooting OBVIOUSLY we had
some technical difficulties (can’t be that perfect you know) our camera was
very problematic as it kept on turning off over and over again and when it
actually did work our SD card flashed a message saying low memory although it
was almost empty and as a camera person I had to deal with all of this
difficulty however my group member Alex managed to fix that problem and we continued
with our shooting.
iii. Another problem that occurred was our fake
blood which actually looked very FAKE. It wasn’t what we expected it to be so
it had to be darkened and because of having no other option we tried to put
coffee which didn’t really work.
iv.One more problem that occurred was that we
actually decided to put the zombie apocalypse news on the TV using an HDMI
cable but the TV that was available did not have a HDMI slot so we had to
change the part and put use the laptop to show the news
Although we did have some problems we managed to complete our shooting
and our shots were decent and a very good effort by all of us. We had to make a
lot of changes in our storyboard and the script according to the circumstances
and situations
